I'm not ready for autumn...

...But my wardrobe is! Check out this rich orangey-yellow jac dale vintage blouse. It has large side pocket details at the bust, and tuxedo tails in front and back. Here I've paired it with Toronto-based LABEL silver leggings which I got at the Muttonhead warehouse sale a few weeks ago, a pair of vintage Kaufman heeled rain boots, and a leather triangle necklace from Gigi's Little Art Department.

Incidentally, I've lived in a beautiful loft of the old Kaufman building, so these rainboots have a special place in my heart although they're a tad too small at size 8. Jac dale brand has been cancelled but was a subsidiary of Elanstyl Diffusion Ltee based in Quebec.

Meet Samuel Lamp

I found Samuel on October 22, 2011, somewhere between Harbord/Markham and Dundas/Crawford. I don't generally name inanimate objects, but Samuel Lamp spoke to me. He is a beautiful retro style desk lamp in the perfect shade of mustard. I can picture the lamp in a hypothetical home sitting on a stained wooden sideboard with umbrellas inside in a white painted front hallway with fine wainscotting and hardwood floors, of course. It would illuminate an old cork board with postcards, grocery lists, and movies to watch. See the listing for Samuel Lamp on Etsy.com

Handbag Heaven

If I had $200 to invest right now, I would get this great Kate Spade bag. Or better yet, learn how to make one! I had a date with a girl to teach me basketweaving (which I think can be related to bagweaving if I want it to) but it didn't work out. I'm still holding out though!

And if I had another $150 to spend I would pair it with this beautiful blue flowy dress handmade by crusheleptic.
